Chesapeake native turns over command at Strike Group Oceanography Team Norfolk.
Cmdr. Matthew Cushanick was relieved by Cmdr. Kristine Bench as Commanding Officer, Strike Group Oceanography Team Norfolk (SGOT-N), in a ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk, 16 September, 2022.
Friends, family, and military personnel gathered to wish fair winds and following seas to Cmdr. Cushanick after serving as the SGOT-N Commanding Officer for the past two years and to welcome aboard Cmdr. Bench, the new Commanding Officer of SGOT-N.
